systemized approach

GMI continually strives to improve upon the quality and consistency of the services we provide to our customers.
We have always understood that standardization and systemization generate consistency in the cleaning industry. That is precisely why we employ the innovative operational cleaning process know s the ManageMen Operating System 1, or (OS1)®.

Operating System
(OS1)® is a comprehensive training, work-loading and scheduling system that increases efficiency, cleaning levels and employee morale all in a frame work that is better for the environment and building occupant.

GMI uses the principles of the (OS1)® system to create a specific efficient process for cleaning your facility. Our employees, supervisors & managers follow the standardized guidelines set in the process created to ensure that your facility is cleaned the same way each night. A standardized process ensures a consistent level of cleaning by dividing tasks among specialist, rather than overloading generalists with more tasks than they can properly complete in a shift.

Daily Cleaning Tasks
Our cleaning workers us Job Cards, which are a hand held daily outlines of duties, for each Cleaning Specialist's shift. These cards provide our staff with the opportunity to stay focused on their specialist roles in the overall cleaning plan.

Quality and Personal Contact Our company is organized with Directors, who have operations backgrounds, that will inspect your facility and form lasting relationships that are built upon trust and mutual respect. We will regularly visit your facility to ensure that your needs are met.

HazCom Program – Beyond Compliance ™
Witten in concert with an OSHA field inspector our HazCom program goes beyond the standards set by the government to insure the safety of our employees. All cleaning workers are thoroughly trained on the contents and methods for using the Beyond Compliance information in the event of an emergency.

Color Coding
The use of colors can allow for communication without words. Colors are a universal language and allow communication across many barriers: cultural, educational, and economical. The training & orientation program for (OS1)® uses color-coding as a binding thread to connect all of the information and materials provided to our employees.

For each specialist position, the training materials, Job Cards, chemicals and their packaging, secondary mixture bottles, and MSDS's (Material Safety Data Sheets) are color coordinated to the specific color assigned to that type of Specialist.

Color-coding allows for faster recognition of an MSDS and saves a great deal of reaction time in the event of an emergency.
