    Laurence Abrams

    CEO

    A graduate of San Diego State University, Laurence purchased GMI Building Services, Inc. in 1989 and Guard Management, Inc. in 1992, from his father, Murray Abrams. Under his guidance, GMI has grown from 35 employees to over 1,100 and has emerged as a strong, comprehensive regional security and building services contractor.

    With 27 years of experience in security, Ben is the creator of the “Integrated Security System” which incorporates the use of security-based technology, policies & procedures, and appropriate levels of security personnel. Ben served as a member of the US Marine Corps Reconnaissance from July 1974 to June 1995

    Barry Williamson

    CFO

    Barry is also a graduate of San Diego State University with a BSBA in Finance, and embarked on his career as a critical problem solver and system specialist after serving as an accountant for KLG Electronics. Barry joined the GMI Team in 1994 as Chief Financial Officer.

    With nearly 20 years of experience in the janitorial and security industries, Alan has been involved in the design, implementation, and maintenance of hundreds of “Integrated Facility Solutions.” Alan and his team are continually designing and refining new systems to better support our customer’s expectation and our employees path to success.
